Future Actions & Events
Misbourne River Action's goal is to have the river flowing to its natural potential through the valley and for its corridor to be maintained in an attractive and environmentally sensitive manner. With plans and proposals for a variety of restoration and rehabilitation work, we are delighted to be working with Chiltern Chalk Streams Project towards Mending the Misbourne.
At present, typical tasks include tree, brush, and weed clearance, rubbish removal and bank repairs. We have working parties every few weeks on Saturdays or a weekday with informal planning chats in a local pub each month. Proposed dates are shown below - further details, amendments and additional "ad hoc" events are advised by WhatsApp, e-mail and updates to this site Some volunteers choose to do their bit at a time to suit them - some by adopting a short section of the river; others with a regular litterpick as they walk their pets.
